Hibiscus Iced Tea (Chai Karkadi)
Hibiscus flowers were traditionally used as a medicine. They’re full of vitamin C and antioxidants and are said to lower blood pressure. On top of that, this tea tastes great – and that’s all the reason we need to share the recipe with you.
This can be drunk as hot tea or iced. You could even add a bit of vodka to make it a cocktail.
Put the flowers and honey in a measuring jug, pour in the boiling water and leave to cool.
Strain the drink, discarding all the flowers, then serve the tea over ice with a sprig of fresh mint.
