Mina Holland to write Mama: The Food That Makes Us


Some fantastic news for a Friday! We’re delighted to announce that Weidenfeld & Nicolson will publish Mama: The Food That Makes us by Mina Holland in February 2017.

Mina Holland is the Editor of Guardian Cook and was formerly Contributing Editor of Observer Food Monthly. This is her second book – her previous book, The Edible Atlas, was published in 2014.

Mama: The Food That Makes Us is a book about bringing food back to basics, about going home. It is a collection of oral histories about the food we ate as a child, our mother’s cooking and all that it signifies and encapsulates throughout our life.

The recipes, tips and reflections from each person interviewed will make for nourishing, hearty and timeless dishes that you will want to make again and again.
